Ossett Academy last underwent routine Ofsted inspection in 2026.
In the report, inspectors praise the academy’s climate of care noting that ‘that expectations of staff and pupils are high but implemented with warmth’ and that leaders have ‘inclusion at heart of their work’. Alongside this, they celebrate the outcomes and achievement of our pupils over time and the life chances that these create, identifying that our young people ‘make significant progress from their starting points, academically, socially and emotionally’ which means that they leave us ‘having achieved well, with firm plans in place for their future’. It highlights the positive outcomes of vulnerable pupils and the ever-narrowing gap between disadvantaged and non-disadvantaged pupils. We are a school which puts ‘vulnerable pupils first’.
